If Be GLAD enters into a written agreement, data privacy addendum, or similar contract with a school, district, or education agency, that agreement will govern the handling of district-provided data to the extent it conflicts with this general Privacy Policy.

Be GLAD does not intentionally request student Personal Data unless it is necessary for a specific service, authorized by the applicable Education Customer, and handled in accordance with the applicable agreement. For many Be GLAD services, the information collected is limited to educator, staff, registration, billing, course-access, and course-completion information.

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service.

Usage Data may include information such as Your Device’s Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser version, the pages of Our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.

When You access the Service through a mobile device, We may collect certain information automatically, including the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser You use, unique device identifiers, IP address, and other diagnostic data.

·       With Education Customers: Where a school, district, or organization purchases or sponsors access to the Service, We may share registration, participation, course progress, completion, or certificate information with that Education Customer as reasonably necessary to administer the service, confirm participation, support compliance, or fulfill the applicable agreement.

·       With Your consent: We may disclose Personal Data for another purpose when You or the applicable organization has given consent or authorized the disclosure.

·       For legal and safety reasons: We may disclose Personal Data when required by law, legal process, or valid request by public authorities, or when necessary to protect rights, safety, security, and the integrity of the Service.

Removed/replaced: The prior language stating that Be GLAD may share information “with business partners to offer products, services or promotions” should be removed from the live policy unless Be GLAD actually uses Personal Data for that purpose and has confirmed the legal/privacy basis for doing so.

Public Areas and Third-Party Login Features

If the Service includes public areas, community features, or third-party login features, information You choose to share may be visible to other users or the applicable third-party service. Be GLAD’s current service should be reviewed by the IT consultant to confirm whether any public user profile or third-party social login functionality exists. Where required by a written agreement with an Education Customer, Be GLAD will follow applicable data retention, deletion, or return requirements in that agreement.

Your information, including Personal Data, may be processed at the Company’s operating offices and in other locations where the parties involved in processing are located. This means information may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside Your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ from those in Your jurisdiction.

Be GLAD does not sell district-provided Personal Data and does not use district-provided Personal Data for third-party advertising.

Be GLAD does not intentionally collect student Personal Data unless required for a specific service and authorized by the Education Customer. If student data is required, Be GLAD will handle that information according to the applicable agreement and legal requirements.

Education Customers may contact Be GLAD to request additional information about data collection, vendors, security practices, retention, deletion, and any applicable data privacy agreement or addendum.

Your California Privacy Rights
