2024 Be GLAD Symposium
Join us at the Be GLAD Symposium in April 2024! Now is your chance to connect with other educators, engage in interactive workshops, and meet the original co-creators, Marcia Brechtel and Linnea Haley!
All registered participants for the Symposium will be eligible to register for one of the Be GLAD® online, self-paced courses (PreK, Elementary, Premium Elementary, Secondary or Be GLAD® en español) at a discounted rate.
Everyone is welcome! We have two Symposium Tracks:
1. Introductory 2-Day Be GLAD Institute
Experience the award-winning Project GLAD® (Guided Language Acquisition Design) Model with practical teaching strategies that value the student, provide authentic opportunities for the use of academic language, maintain the highest standards for all students, and foster voice and identity.
2. Advanced Be GLAD Sessions (1 or 2-Day)
These concurrent sessions are intended for previously-trained Be GLAD educators who want to deepen their practice and implementation. A variety of workshops will be offered by a diverse group of presenters over the course of the two days. Session topics include Be GLAD tips and tricks, integration of technology, instructional coaching, SEL, current trends in education, curriculum and planning…and more! Option is available to register for one or both days.
